As the weather gets warmer, you’re probably thinking about getting back outside and enjoying some fresh air with your exercise. To get back into a consistent workout routine, it might be helpful to set a goal—like running the upcoming PVTC Easter Classic 5K/10K! The local race is slated to take place on Saturday, April 9th.
The local Potomac Valley Track Club is organizing the annual event once again at Arlington’s Bluemont Park. Make sure you register in advance ($10+) since on-site registration will not be available the day of the event. Come by before the 7:50 a.m. start time to grab your race packet, including your bib, and then find your spot at the starting line. The 5K run/walk kicks off at that time, followed by the 10K race at 8 a.m. The path is flat and paved, so it’s a great option for relatively new runners or walkers. And since this race tends to only attract about 200 runners, it’ll be a nice small crowd for the morning run.
